Many brides choose to pair their wedding veil with a tiara or other headpiece such as a jeweled headband. Tiaras are jeweled headpieces that resemble a crown, and should be purchased with the bride's wedding hairstyle in mind.

Typical costs:
  • Economy -grade wedding tiaras typically cost $50 and less. Often, these tiaras are plastic coated with metal, with simple rhinestone detailing. Generally, these tiaras won't have any precious gemstones or crystals. The Knot sells tiaras starting at $25, with simple rhinestone headbands starting at $13 -$16. Wedding-Veil.com also sells many economy-grade tiaras.
  • Tiaras with precious gemstone detailing can typically be purchased for $75 to $200. Often made from metals instead of plastic, these tiaras have an expensive look and feel. David's Bridal and Jessica McClintock both sell tiaras in this price range, as well as some economy-grade options.
  • Designer crystal wedding tiaras typically cost $250 to $500 and higher. Swarovski crystal tiaras fall in this price range.
What should be included:
  • Tiaras may be silver or gold in color with crystals and clear or colored rhinestones.
  • Tiaras comes in two basic styles, according to WeddingChannel.com. Large tiaras sit high on the crown of the head, while smaller tiaras are meant to wrap around a bun or similar updo.
  • Some tiaras will have combs attached to the ends for secure placement in the bride's hair. Other styles have small loops at each end, which can be secured to the hair with bobby pins.
Additional costs:
